The story of the extraordinary Etruscan civilization told through a single city - Cerveteri - which stands out for its size and importance in the context of relations between the peoples of the ancient Mediterranean. Around a nucleus of pieces of capital importance belonging to the collections of the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia and the National Cerite Museum, the most significant works of great historical collections belonging to prestigious cultural institutions are presented, including the Louvre Museum in Paris and the British Museum in London.

The exhibition, whose staging recalls the graphics and design of those years, was born from a project by Paola Vassalli for the Art Laboratory of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni and was created with the participation of the Libraries of Rome. A precious opportunity to delve into the fabulous Seventies of children's publishing in Italy, marked by a graphic and content revolution in books for young readers.

RUDI WACH. THE DOOR OF HANDS

Rudi Wach's art blends ancient and contemporary, myth and philosophy, revealing its essence in a visionary form. The selection of drawings and sculptures including the unpublished work "La porta delle mani" express the themes that have inspired the artistic production of recent years.

Six Italian artists and six French artists bring street art to the museum. Urban art competes with contemporary art on an area of ​​over 2000 square meters. SHIFTING IDENTITIES. Identity in contemporary art of the latest generations between Finland and Estonia

TSIBI GEVA: RECENT AND EARLY WORKS

On display one of the most important contemporary Israeli artists. The exhibition is made up of around thirty paintings, a large iron installation and a graffiti created for this occasion, in which Middle Eastern urban environments and landscapes come to life. 

BIG BAMBOO 

Still open to the public, the imposing installation specially created for Rome by American artists Mike and Doug Starn on the occasion of the sixth edition of Enel Contemporanea in 2012. A 25-metre-high structure made up of 8000 bamboo rods creates a space for living or just to go.

HOUSE OF MEMORY AND HISTORY

THE JEWISH BRIGADE IN ITALY 1943 – 1945 Across the Mediterranean for freedom

The exhibition reconstructs the history of men and women of the Jewish community of Palestine under the British mandate who contributed alongside the allied forces to the struggle for liberation of Europe from Nazi occupation.

LICIA GALICIA-MICHELANGELO LUPONE. OASIS

The meeting between the artist Licia Galizia and the composer Michelangelo Lupone has given life to an original installation conceived as a place of multisensory experience: the musical scores are induced by the structure of the material, by the geometries of the design, by the surfaces and by the plastic volumes busy.

CECILIA LIGHTS. MADE IN WATER

In 25 works the artist's research that aims at the reconstruction of inner landscapes through the combination of everyday objects arranged in transparent liquids such as water. The result is a series of abstract geometries and unexpected metamorphoses that emerge thanks to these combinations.

HYACINTH CERONE. THE MAXIMUM OF THE HORIZONTAL

A celebratory exhibition of Giacinto Cerone's talent ten years after his death. More than thirty drawings are exhibited, many of which are unpublished, in which the artist's stroke takes shape, free to express himself on the horizontal dimension of the sheet alone.

GLOBAL EXCHANGE: GEOMETRIC ABSTRACTION SINCE 1950

Sixty years of geometric abstractions in a collection of works by Italian, North and South American artists from the Museum of Contemporary Art in Buenos Aires.

ANNIKA LARSSON. INTRODUCTION

The anomalies of contemporary society and the recent, tragic history of Europe are at the center of the solo show by Annika Larsson, the Swedish artist on display for the first time in an Italian public institution.

The Japanese artist Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam has created this majestic work for the seventh edition of Enel Contemporanea. It is an installation designed above all for children who can enter, climb, jump and roll in the entirely hand-woven structure.

REFUGEE HOTEL. Photo exhibition by Gabriele Stabile

The moment of entry into the United States of Cuban, African and Asian refugees, immortalized by the lens of Gabriele Stabile. For over six years, the photographer has collaborated with important humanitarian organizations to tell the journey of these migrants and the first night they spent in a motel on the road to the airport.
