August gives way to September and the capital greets the return of its citizens: the Roman Summer, thanks also to the debut of new events, further enriches its offer of art, activities for children, cinema, music, multidisciplinary initiatives, street art and theatre.

In this new week, demonstrations are opening not only in the central areas but throughout the city of Rome. From the September 1 the urban art of Outdoor Camp with a vast cultural program it reactivates the over 30.000 square meters of the former Guido Reni barracks, allowing it to be temporarily opened before the regeneration scheduled for the month of October. The Roman Estate is also enriched by the program of Short Theater, scheduled at La Pelanda in Piazza Orazio Giustiniani, but with forays into the India theater and in the spaces of Vallicelli Library. It also makes its debut at the Giardino degli Aranci Urban impromptu, Festival of urban theater which dedicates the 21ima travel edition.

Anna Bracci Park in Primavalle from Monday August 31 is the theater of the fourth edition of Primavalle… not the last, an event featuring over 40 hours of free live programming. Thanks to the festival The Dadisé city the Tor Sapienza district from Tuesday September 1th it will meet Naples and India, passing through Portugal, with proposals under the banner of popular values ​​and originality. For its part, the park in Via Medail in Lenght hosts the second edition of 6inSummer, an event that tells a new face of the suburbs, with its artistic emergencies, its original productions, its creativity and its talents. And for fans of great music, it's back Rock in Rome, which reopens programming with two highly anticipated live shows: i Bold type and US indie rock band Interpol.

Here is a selection of the events scheduled for the coming week from the August 28 to the September 3 accompanied by the complete daily calendar.

ART

“We live under occupation, in an open-air prison that doesn't allow us to move freely even in our Palestine, so we thought that people could see Gaza through these windows”, thus was born Windows from Gaza, an exhibition that opens in the exhibition spaces of Santa Rita Room Thursday 3 September at 18.30 pm and presents a selection of works by Majed Shala, Basel El-Maqousi and Shareef Sarhan, three Gazawi artists and founders of the “Shababik” collective, born in Gaza City in 2003 with the aim of supporting and training young professional artists. Windows from Gaza it is an opportunity to get in touch with the psychological and inner dimension of the inhabitants of Gaza, to have a cross-section of the complexity that characterizes living in an extreme condition of isolation, oppression and total media oblivion. 

In progress at Casino of the Princes of Villa Torlonia OPPO. Painting Drawing Scenography, an exhibition that presents Oppo as an 'artist', beyond its well-known institutional role. 50 paintings, 20 drawings, 20 scenographic sketches and 4 costumes, half a century of Italian art history, from early works linked to the climate of the Secession, to those of the second post-war period, more intimate.

Al Carlo Bilotti Museum at the Orangery of Villa Borghese, art and the sacred merge in one Yves Klein, Sidival Fila, Tito. Three perspectives of the sacred in contemporary art, exhibitions featuring three artists of different nationalities, generations and styles, united by a desire for spiritual research, rendered in a complex synthesis of colour, light and matter

CHILDREN

Many activities for the little ones organized by the event 6in SUMMER. To the Via Medail Park in Length Sunday 30 August at 19pm you can participate in Ludobus, entertainment for children with creative workshops and giant soap bubble show. Wednesday 2 September at 18 hours there is Comic Legends, comic book drawing and storytelling workshop for children on the legends of Lenght, curated by Sara Terranova. Thursday 3 September at 19 pm They called it summer, show by the Castelverde theater laboratory, written and directed by Martina Marone and Roberta Provenzani.

In the Torresina area, precisely in viale Indro Montanelli at the corner with Ruggero Orlando, Thursday September 3 within the event Culture on the corner during the day, street artists perform and children's readings are offered.

As part of the event Free Summer Free Ostia Saturday 29 August at 18.30 in Piazza dei Ravennati the Pakistani cultural mediator and journalist Ejaz Ahmad offers a workshop to teach children to build and fly kites typical of the Indian subcontinent. Also in Piazza dei Ravennati, under the supervision and teaching of Patrizia Alice Ferranti, the children will demonstrate their artistic abilities and skills by participating in a playful-creative laboratory of painting and visual arts.

Summer camps continue Civic Museum of Zoology,Astrosummer of the Inflatable Planetarium and the Techno holidays in science proposed by the toy library Technotown of Villa Torlonia.

CINEMA

From Monday August 31 the Anna Bracci Park in Via Alessio Ascalesi in Primavalle is the scene of the fourth edition of Primavalle… not the last, an event featuring over 40 hours of free live programming: seven days of concerts, shows, entertainment and book presentations. Among the scheduled shows, Pigeons and Butterflies. Love in the Bastillestage play by Many People Show (Monday 31 August 22.30 hours) and the concert of The reggae circus di Adrian Bono (Thursday 3 September at 22).

After the success of past editions, the review is back Culture on the corner, which celebrates its XNUMXth edition this year. Within the review Oxygen 2015 – Popstairs, David “Diavù” Vecchiato, exponent of Roman Street Art and creator of MURo, Museum of Urban Art in Rome, starting from Sunday August 30 will redevelop the stairway of Via Ugo Bassi through a street art intervention aimed at making it a place of artistic and cultural interest. The chosen subject is the actress Elena Sofia Ricci, in the role of Cristina Trivulzio di Belgiojoso, one of the heroines of the Roman Republic, in the film by Luigi Magni In the name of the sovereign people.

THEATRE

Wednesday 2 September at the Giardino degli Aranci it makes its debut Urban impromptu, Festival of urban theater which dedicates the 21ima travel-themed edition, with a rich program of shows and performances with international companies, action painting, workshops and 'a wealth of ideas' to give space to young actors and playwrights. At 21 the Colombian company Colectivo Errante from Bogota presents the national premiere The Divine Comedy of the Human Being: Part I: Hell (750°). Thursday September 3st there are two shows on the bill:  at 18.30 the Faber Teater company proposes Songlines.
