So this year Rome welcomes and strengthens the spirit of the first Festival launched in France in 1982 by the then Minister of Culture Jack Lang: allowing music to invade all the streets of the city, from the suburbs to the center and be both an opportunity and a vehicle for relationships human. Performances by choirs – gospel, multi-ethnic, modern – and events that link art and music such as Summer Time / Over the Rainbow, a musical itinerary in Via Margutta, guided visits to the Opera Theater or musical performances at MACRO Testaccio and at the Galleria AOCF58. The music will also reach various places of care from the hall of the Gemelli Polyclinic, to the Bambin Gesù pediatric hospital, from the Psychiatric Rehabilitation department at the University of Tor Vergata to the Cappella Maggiore of the Umberto I Polyclinic.
For the musical flash mob at 21:21 which will ideally unite all the widespread events and the whole city with the song by Domenico Modugno In the blue painted blue (Volare) the Mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi and the Deputy Mayor with responsibility for Cultural Growth Luca Bergamo will participate in the appointment on the steps of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni with the "Sweetwater Jazz Band".
In this 32nd European edition, Rome celebrates the summer solstice with a participatory, spontaneous and free event promoted by the Cultural Growth Department together with the Cultural Activities Department of Roma Capitale in collaboration with MiBACT, SIAE and ATAC SpA and Roma Servizi per la Mobility and with the communication of Zètema Progetto Cultura.
