The traffic block continues in Rome with the second ecological Sunday of the winter season 2021-2022: January 30th. Provision aimed at making citizens aware of the responsible use of private cars and energy sources. The next ecological Sundays will be held on February 20 and March 13, 2022.
Therefore, within the Ztl area, "green belt", from 7.30 to 12.30 and from 16.30 to 20.30 there will be vehicle stops more polluting. Euro 6 petrol cars, Euro 4 and later 3-stroke motorcycles, Euro 2 and later 4-stroke 2-wheel mopeds may circulate. Green light also for electric, hybrid, methane and LPG-powered vehicles, for those with the disabled badge and for those of sharing services.
Violators risk up to 700 euros of fine and, in the event of more than one fine in two years (even in different cities) the suspension license for 30 days.
To facilitate the normal course of city activities, the Municipality of Rome has declared that "the local public transport and taxis will be strengthened during the days of total blockade".
Not just block traffic, too heating limits. During the day of Sunday 30 January in Rome the maximum limit of 12 hours will be applied for the use of heating systems. The intensification of checks is also envisaged throughout the municipal area to verify compliance with the regulations on the prohibition of open combustion. It will be the local police of Rome Capital that will guarantee the observance of the provision of limitation of circulation by the citizens.
