Rome, Cattolica Immobiliare buys a building in the historic center

Cattolica Immobiliare increases the assets under management with the acquisition by Fondo Girolamo of a Historic building for office use in the heart of Rome, in via Santa Maria in Via 3/6, 200 meters from the Trevi Fountain. The property, sold by FIA Due Fondo Portafoglio managed by Kryalos SGR, consists of two buildings and spread over seven floors, one of which is underground, for a total area of 13 thousand square meters.

The transaction was originated, negotiated and structured by Cattolica Immobiliare and Savills IM SGR and implemented through Fondo Girolamo, a real estate FIA set up and managed by Savills IM SGR and fully subscribed by the Cattolica Group, specialized in core offices leased to tenants of high standing . Following this operation, the Fund is enriched with a new income property, the third in a year, after the two structures acquired in the Bicocca area in Milan in December 2019 and in July 2020, respectively the building in viale Sarca 222 and the adjacent Learning Center Pirelli.

“Although slowed down by the pandemic – commented the Chief Executive Officer of Cattolica Immobiliare, Salvatore Ciccarello -, real estate is a market that can offer interesting opportunities for agile, prepared professional investors with a long-term strategy. We are very proud of this operation, thanks to which we have contributed another valuable property to Fondo Girolamo, this time in a strategic position in the historic center of the capital. Rome is the city with the greatest urban and infrastructural potential in Italy which, if expressed, will lead it to experience the same brilliant 'urban renaissance' that has invested Milan in recent decades”.
