Rome chaos: councilor Mazzillo leaves delegation

The councilor for the budget Andrea Mazzillo, depositary until a few hours ago also of the delegation to the Heritage has decided to put it back into controversy with the first citizen. For now, he retains the knowledge on the Budget - "The mayor wants to appoint a new councilor without even informing me".

Rome chaos: councilor Mazzillo leaves delegation

Yet another tile on the junta led by Virginia Raggi, the councilor for the budget Andrea Mazzillo, depositary until a few hours ago also of the delegation to the Heritage has decided to put it back into controversy with the first citizen.

"Having acknowledged, through a chat, the mayor's intention to appoint two other councilors: one with responsibility for public works and the other with responsibility for heritage and housing policies, without even informing me, I decided to formally make available to the mayor the proxies relating to the Heritage already this morning ".

Mazzillo himself announces the novelty through a note characterized by certainly not soft tones.

"This will allow me - continues the text - to concentrate, with even greater commitment, on guaranteeing the solidity of the accounts of Roma Capitale in order to allow the mayor to implement the program to relaunch the capital".

It should be remembered that, a few days ago the commissioner had also handed over the proxies to the House. From today, therefore, his task will be only to deal with the budget.

In the meantime, according to the rumors circulated this morning, the new councilor should arrive after August XNUMXth. The selection to find the holder of the proxies for the House and the Heritage would already be underway.

It should be emphasized that the "crisis" between Andrea Mazzillo and Virginia Raggi did not start today. A few days ago, while the junta was hit by criticism due to the resignation of the former general manager of Atac, Bruno Rota, Mazzillo had expressed criticisms of the nomination criteria: “We take people who know Rome's problems. In my opinion, if you want to do your job well for this city, you have to live in Rome. It's not like you can commute, stay three, four days and then go home”, he declared in an interview with Messaggero, with clear reference to the councilor for the Participates Mauro Colomban, the Venetian entrepreneur wanted by Gianroberto Casaleggio.

Words that Virginia Raggi did not like at all and which Mazzillo himself then partially reduced by speaking of "distortion of his thinking and full sharing of the line of the mayor Raggi and the Movement". Despite this, the position of the Councilor for the Budget seems to be increasingly in the balance. A figure who, we recall, seems to find no peace. In fact, before Mazzillo there had been the resignation of Marcello Minenna, the "rejection" of Raffaele De Dominicis and the refusal of Salvatore Tutino.
