The provision will probably arrive at the Council of Ministers on Friday – The law provides that when a seizure concerns the productive activity, the judge can appoint an administrator who also takes care of the seized money”, explained the minister.

Un commissioner also take care of liquid assets. This is the idea conceived by the Government to avoid the closure of factories steelmaking announced last week by Riva Acciaio. The law was announced today in a hearing in the Chamber by the Minister of Economic Development, Flavio Zanonato.

“We hypothesized a 104ter, a very simple rule that we are evaluating with the Ministry of Justice – said Zanonato -. If it goes well we would like to take it to the CDM on Friday. The law states that when a seizure concerns a productive activity, the judge can appoint an administrator who also takes care of the seized money”.

The minister then said that he had discussed it "with the public prosecutor of Taranto, who found this formulation interesting: the money is available to the subject, the commissioner indicated by the judge, who becomes able to manage the whole activity".

Finally, Zanonato reiterated that Riva's production is a fundamental asset "for the national industry, because it guarantees the continuity of steel production downstream".
