Restaurants open, Trentino anticipates Monday 19

Forward flight of Trentino. The autonomous province of Trento, governed by the Northern League (and Salvini) Maurizio Fugatti since 2018, anticipates the reopening of bars and restaurants by a week: Monday 19 April instead of Monday 26 as will happen in the rest of Italy, by virtue of the autonomy granted and of data that objectively are already largely from the yellow zone (but not only in Trentino, to tell the truth). The early reopening of a week is an experiment that will not have the same rules foreseen for everyone from 26; meanwhile, it is a simple return to the old yellow zone, moreover "reinforced": bars and restaurants open until 18pm but only with tables outside (or for the usual takeaway). Therefore, no indoor places, except for customers who use the meal voucher or company canteen service, and no evening opening: for the former, it will still be necessary to wait quite a while (but the summer season allows us not to impose an urgency), for the latter Trentino will also align with the rest of the country, therefore starting from Monday 26 April.

For bars and restaurants it still remains the limit of four people at a table (unless they are cohabitants). According to the latest data, based on the weekly classification of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS), Trentino has an Rt index of 0,69 and an incidence of 120 cases per 100 inhabitants, far below the fateful threshold of 250 cases out of 100. The trend of the contagion has therefore taken a rather reassuring turn, also by virtue of the fact that the autonomous province (but the whole Region, even Alto Adige) was among the fastest and most effective in vaccination campaign, especially in the older segment of the population which, as is well known, is the one most at risk. In Trentino, all the over 80s and most of the over 70s have already received the first dose, and at the end of last week, bookings for the 65-69 age group had already begun. As of Friday, there were 129.725 doses administered in Trentino, of which 40.955 are second doses. 80 doses were administered to citizens over 52.716, while 70 doses were administered to the 79-27.570 age group.

“We have decided as Council to bring forward the official exit from the orange zone for some of the activities that are particularly suffering – explained Fugatti in the press conference -. It's an experimentation, even with respect to what the government is deciding in these hours. It is a form of autonomy. We believe that the resolution can not be challenged ".
