As regards December, the drop in inflows from collective management, more than halved compared to November to 1,3 billion, and portfolio management which reported redemptions of 688 million, mainly linked to the institutional component, would have contributed to the collapse. in contrast with the positive subscriptions of November for 754 million.

Speaking of the individual compartments, during the last month of the past year, investors seem to have preferred bond funds, which have achieved net inflows of more than 2 billion euros, thus confirming themselves as the most popular category and bringing their subscriptions since the beginning of the year to 18,8 billion. Asset management, on the other hand, collected only 565 million, with a drop of more than 80% compared to November and more than 90% compared to December 2015.

Overall, in 2016, deposits amounted to 54,946 billion, down by over 60% compared to 2015. Within collective management, open-ended funds reached 1,283 billion, while closed-end funds recorded inflows of 64 million, after the negative figure of 38 million in November. Inflows from portfolio management, on the other hand, were negative by 688 million, due to the effect of the redemptions of institutional management amounting to 705 million. Retail management shows slightly positive net inflows of 17 million, after the outflow of 408 million in the previous month. At the end of 2016, total assets under management reached a record level of 1.937 billion, 100 billion higher than in 2015.
