The preliminary data on the trend of the sector during the month of December, published by Assogestioni, highlight declining collection flows. The asset management industry registers divestments of 9,5 billion euro: 5,9 billion outgoing from collective management and 3,6 billion from portfolio management. At the end of the year total assets well exceed 937 billion euros: 476 invested in portfolio management (51%) and 461 in collective management (49%).
In the context of collective management, it is closed-end fund funding was positive and equal to 641 million euro. Open-ended funds report outflows of €6,5 billion and assets of €419 billion, 64% of which (€267 billion) is invested in foreign-registered funds.
