Asset management: positive fundraising of 7 billion in April

According to the data released by Assogestioni, the asset management sector continues to grow, albeit at a slower pace than the record rates maintained in the previous months - Inflows in April were positive for 7 billion - New all-time record for assets, at 1.405 billion euro.

Asset management: positive fundraising of 7 billion in April

The positive trend in the asset management sector continues even if, in April, fundraising showed a slowdown in its growth, after the records of February and March. Indeed, according to the data released by Assogestioni, in April funding was positive for 7 billion, against the 18,8 billion recorded in March. Since the beginning of 2014, funding has been positive for 36,5 billion euro.

With this new increase, assets (mostly made up of portfolio management) set a new all-time record, reaching 1.405 billion euro for the first time. In April, open funds raised 3,9 billion (14,4 billion in March), institutional funds 2,5 billion (from 3,84) while retail funds 647 million (from 515). 

Among the main groups, Generali declined, closing the month with a deficit of 515 million euro. The Intesa Sanpaolo group, on the other hand, had profits of 1,7 billion and Pioneer Investments (Unicredit) of 629,3 million euros. Anima also did well, raising 1,2 billion euros.
