Asset management, Assogestioni: 9-month funding +57 billion

The result makes it possible to recover the outflows of 2011 (-11,8 billion) and 2012 (-40,8 billion) – Inflows in the third quarter alone were positive by 16,3 billion euro, mainly thanks to asset management insurance companies (+7,8 billion) and subscriptions registered by open-ended funds (+7 billion).

in first nine months of 2013 the Italian industry of managed savings has gathered over 57 billion euros, thus recovering the outflows of 2011 (-11,8 billion) and 2012 (-40,8 billion). The figures were released today by Assogestioni, the Italian asset management association. 

Just in third quarter the collection was positive for 16,3 billion euros, thanks above all to the management of insurance assets (+7,8 billion) and to subscriptions registered by open-ended funds (+7 billion). At the end of September, assets set a new record at 1.292 billion (there were 1.243 at the end of the first half). 

In the open-end funds sector, foreign-registered products raised more than 4,6 billion (+31 billion since the beginning of the year), while domestic funds attracted 2,4 billion euros (+9 billion since the beginning of the year). The protagonists of funding are flexible products (+5,9 billion), equity (+2,1 billion) and balanced products (+1,4 billion).
