According to the latest map by Assogestioni, open-ended funds once again took the lion's share, with positive inflows of almost 8 billion

Savings, funds: new collection record in August

The Italian industry of managed savings closed the month of August 2021 with a new record in assets under management, at 2.561.384 million euros. This updates the previous record, recorded in July, of 2.545.201 million. This is what emerges from the monthly map of Assogestioni, the Italian association of asset management companies.

In detail, in August total net inflows was positive for 9.349 million, accelerating compared to +6.370 million in July. The new data bring the total result from the beginning of the year to +67.054 million.

As far as the various types of funds are concerned, once again the ones that prevail are the open, which increased inflows by 7.882 million (after 6.628 million in July), for a total since the beginning of the year of 50.338 million.

The funds closed, on the other hand, last month they recorded positive deposits of 69 million, a clear deceleration compared to the +553 million of the previous month. Since the beginning of the year, the account is positive by 3.054 million.

Overall, in August le collective management saw funding rise by 7.950 million (from +7.181 million in July), bringing the figure for the whole of 2021 to +53.393 million.

Le portfolio management, on the other hand, increased funding by 1.398 million, after the negative result in July (-811 million), for a total of +2021 million in 13.661.

Il retail recorded inflows of +990 million (+973 in July), for a total of +2021 in 7.264, while the inflows of institutional it stood at +409 million (-1.784 in July), for a total of +6.398 million.
