Energy saving: Enea rewards Panini, Dolce&Gabbana and Toro Rosso

Dolce&Gabbana, Panini and Toro Rosso have been identified by theENEA and by the Ministry of Economic Development as ambassadors of energy efficiency to raise awareness and promote environmental protection and energy saving among the public and businesses.

The recognition was given to the three groups on the occasion of the conference promoted by the Agency for new technologies, energy and sustainable economic development with the Ministry of Economic Development for a first photograph on the energy diagnoses submitted by companies.

The three companies were the first, in their respective sectors, to carry out the 'check upenergy introduced by the legislative decree (102/2014), an obligation which at the legal expiry of 5 December last involved 7.128 companies - of which approximately 63% in the industrial sector, 28% in the tertiary sector and 9% in the primary sector – for a total of over 14 energy diagnoses.

"A preliminary analysis of our database shows that companies are increasingly aware that reducing energy costs also means improving market competitiveness and that energy audits are a key tool for obtaining significant economic benefits - he explained Robert Moneta, head of ENEA's Energy Efficiency Technical Unit – Today's awards are intended to help spread the importance and usefulness of energy audits in the business world”.

Among the numerous companies that carried out the energy diagnosis within the statutory deadlines, in addition to the three already mentioned, today there were also Fiat Chrysler, Ama, Poste Italiane, A2A, Enel, Policlinico Gemelli, Campus Biomedico, Fastweb and Investire Sgr.

From the first analyzes and cataloging undertaken by ENEA, it emerges that 94% of the audits concerned multi-site companies, while the remaining 6% referred to single-site companies. The largest number of sites involved concerns the tertiary sector which represents 28% of the total companies, but includes more than 50% (51,29%) of the sites subjected to diagnosis, against 47,48% of industry and 1,23 .XNUMX% of the primary. The tertiary sector, in fact, is characterized by a plurality of places (think of large retailers, banks, post offices) and, consequently, boasts the greatest number of energy diagnoses.

In the ranking of the most virtuous sectors for having carried out and sent the energy audit within the terms of the law, in the first places, by number of companies, are plastic and rubber (8,69% of the total), food (7,41. 7,17%), metallurgical (5,48%), motor manufacturing (4,23%), chemical (3,69%), retail trade (3,52%) and textile (XNUMX%).
