Digital Risorgimento: Tim strengthens the offer for Italy's comeback

The digital revolution continues in our country, thank you "Operation Digital Risorgimento" promoted by Tim. The project is renewed in formats with platforms, free webinars and learning levels and certificates to ensure the maximum dissemination of knowledge of digital tools on a national scale. Targeted initiatives are underway for citizens, schools, businesses and the PA aimed at breaking down the cultural digital divide and overcoming the gap with other European countries.

Important results emerged during the "Report on Italy's digital transformation", drawn up by Censis in collaboration with the Centro Studi Tim. During the pandemic, Italy took a significant step towards digitization: the 75% of the adult population has used the internet regularly and the majority of Italians have now acquired the awareness that digital solutions and online services are an essential support in many areas of daily life.

Altogether it can be estimated that almost 43 million people adults (and among these at least 3 million new users) have remained in contact with their loved ones thanks to video calling systems that use the Internet. Most Italians (approx 61%) believes that it will continue to use this method also in the near future.

Furthermore, the analysis highlights that 8,7 million Italians have used the digital services of the public administration for the first time and that 83,5% of the interviewees state that they prefer the provision of services to citizens both online and physically.

On these bases, the project promoted by Tim intends to offer its contribution to the country's economic and social recovery, thanks to digital skills. Firstly by strengthening human capital through new training activities that are oriented not only towards the digital inclusion of those who have never used technologies up to now, but also towards enhancing the digital skills of those who intend to make more use of them for daily life, work and quick access to public services.

With "The Internet school for everyone, dedicated to citizens”, Tim strengthens his commitment to disseminating online skills with the first 50 classes of the Internet school, open to all citizens. An extensive training program dedicated to all age groups with free lessons on the main topics of digitalisation: computer security, home banking, e-commerce, use of the electronic health record, Spidocchiamoci and PagoPa are at the center of the first lessons launched.

Another training course is “Digital consumers, aware and safe” launched in collaboration with the Adiconsum, Adoc, Altroconsumo, Cittadinanzattiva, Codacons, Federconsumatori and U.Di.Con. associations, with webinars and free content aimed at citizens and consumers.

Particular attention is also paid to theMygrants app, the first application to support immigrants in national and European regulations and the latest training courses in the Italian employment market. Furthermore, the app provides a path on the digital skills used so far by over 20 migrants. The initiative is in collaboration with Italiacamp.

The course is structured in various modules: didactic planning, the live remote lesson, flipped classroom (learning methodology with "flipped class", cooperative learning, debate, evaluation and inclusion.
