Heating: from 15 April they go out throughout Italy

On Sunday 15 April, in 90% of the Italian territory, the heating will be switched off. This was established by article 4 of Presidential Decree 74/2013 which provides for the obligation to stop in all buildings located in the climatic zones "D" and "E", i.e. almost all of Italy, except the coastal areas of the South, islands and part of Tuscany and Liguria.

Plants serving hospitals, nursing homes used for hospitalization or treatment of minors or the elderly, nursery schools and nursery schools are not subject to the obligation.

Buildings located in climatic zone "F", i.e. the Alpine arc and the Apennine arc between Pistoia and Savona, are also exempt from the shutdown obligation on 15 April.

In the event that "exceptional" climatic conditions occur, the systems can be reactivated, but with a daily duration equal to or less than half of that normally permitted.

We remind you that, in condominiums with centralized systems, the shutdown date of the heating coincides with that of the end of the financial years.
