After that of Beach volleyball with the Nicolai-Lupo couple, another medal is in the safe for Italy: hoping that they both become gold, Setterosa also qualified for the final in the water polo tournament. Twelve years after the historic first place in Athens, the women's national water polo team is therefore playing for another Olympic title: it will be played on Friday at 19,30 pm Italian time.
The girls led by coach Fabio Conti defeat Russia in the semifinals with a score of 12-9, dominating the match from start to finish (except on the 1-0 for the Russians), and managing at least two stages of the match lead goal. Between the third and last quarter, Russia didn't score for 12 minutes. Now the USA or Hungary await us in the final, with the stars and stripes team slightly favored.
