Enel cash in Brazil. Through the subsidiary Enel Green Power Brazil Participants, the Italian group has sold three plants for the production of renewable energy, all already in operation. The Chinese company bought them CGN Energy International Holdings, which will disburse about 2,9 billion Brazilian reals, which is almost 700 million euro.

Two of the three plants are solar parks: those of Nova Olinda and Lapa, which are located in the northeastern states of Piauí and Bahia and have an installed capacity of 292 and 158 MW.

The third plant involved in the operation is the wind farm of Cristalandia, also in Bahia, which has an installed capacity of 90 MW.

The closing of the transaction is expected by the end of the first quarter of this year.

“The sale of these assets allows us to create value for further growth in Brazil, where we are building a vast portfolio of renewable projects,” he explained. The operation is part of the asset rotation envisaged in the 2019-21 business plan. In any case, the group will maintain Operation and Maintenance (O&M) operations on the assets sold.

Mid morning Enel's stock on the Stock Exchange travels just below parity (0,23%), at 5,206 euros.
