The final goal for the inclusion of the balanced budget principle in the Constitution is one week away. He'll talk about it again on April 3rd. The subject was on the agenda in the Senate floor this morning for the fourth and final vote. The discussion was scheduled after the conclusion of the confidence votes on the simplification decree. But with confidence granted, the leader of the pdl senators, Maurizio Gasparri, proposed the reversal of the order of business, asking for the final vote to be postponed to the next session. The request was accepted by the assembly.
The bill is in its fourth reading. Being a law amending the Constitution, for its approval the yes of two thirds of the components of the classroom is neededThis prevents the law from being submitted to a referendum. Most likely the postponement finds its justification in the fact that many senators, after the vote of confidence, left the Senate to return to their constituencies, and therefore perhaps there would not have been a sufficient number of parliamentarians to guarantee reaching the quorun of two thirds.
