Bcc reform: from the Chamber ok to trust

The bank decree contains the reform of cooperative credit and the state guarantee on non-performing loans - M5S announces obstructionism: the final vote will probably arrive during the night - The government wants to lock down the text: the second reading in the Senate must end by April 15

The Chamber of Deputies approved the issue of trust raised by the Government on the banking decree. There were 351 votes in favor, 180 against. The text contains, among other things, the reform of the cooperative credit system and the state guarantee on non-performing loans.

The session will resume in the afternoon with the agendas. A marathon in Montecitorio will probably be needed to reach the final vote, since an agreement has not been found between the groups and the Five Star Movement has announced obstructionism, rejecting the majority's request to decide on a date for the go-ahead from the Chamber to measure.

Considering that 132 agendas have been presented and that 87 M5S deputies are registered to speak, it is foreseeable that the final vote on the measure will arrive during the night.

The government wants to avoid new changes to the text, because the time available is now short: the decree expires on April 15 and, after the ok from Montecitorio and the Easter break, it must pass to the Senate for the second reading.
