The Emilia-Romagna Territorial Agency for water and waste services (Atersir) officially awarded the tender for the municipal waste management and assimilated in the territorial basin "Pianura e Montagna Modenese". The award concerns in particular 32 municipalities in the Modena area, for a catchment area of ​​around 490 inhabitants. The contract will be signed in the coming months between the Bologna-based multiutility and Atersir, and has a total value of over 880 million euros and a time horizon of 15 years.

In particular, the company led by the Hera Group will make significant investments to extend collection models to the entire territory with innovative services and equipment, with a strong focus on sustainability, waste reduction and the increase in recycled materials. Among the cardinal principles are the awareness and active involvement of citizens and businesses in order to favor the reduction of the quantity of waste, in particular undifferentiated waste, and a collection more and more of quality, creating shared value for local communities
