Research from the Newspaper Association of America: Print advertising still works

Print newspaper advertising works. Still. The Newspaper Association of America has carried out a research that analyzes the behavior of American consumers in relation to advertising carried out in paper newspapers, the use of coupons and the influence of the network. The research is called “How America Shops & Spends 2013”

In a list of 12 advertising sources, the paper newspaper won first place for the degree of influence in purchasing decisions of consumers. Furthermore, the research has shown that even those who qualify as "non-readers" use newspapers in the same way to decide what, where and when to buy. Out of a list of 13 actions to carry out before buying, the three that win the first places are: keep a coupon (16%), check that there are sales and discounts (16%) and make comparisons of convenience on the prices of the various objects (12%).
