New BoD for Acea. The shareholders' meeting of the Roman multiutility approved the proposal to reduce the number of directors from nine to seven and appointed the new members. These are Catia Tomasetti (also elected president), Alberto Irace, Elisabetta Maggini, Paola Profeta, Francesco Caltagirone, Giovanni Giani and Diane D'Arras. “The new board of directors will ensure maximum effectiveness in producing profits – commented the mayor of Rome, Ignazio Marino -, but he also fully shared the strategic direction that we have indicated: to make Acea increasingly a protagonist of our future. The first sign in this direction is precisely the indication of a BoD reduced in the number of members and in costs, so much so that the entirety of the new Board will cost around 30% of the total cost of what it has cost up to now”.

The assembly also gave the go-ahead to cut compensation. The maximum values for the remuneration of directors are set for a total of no more than 792.000 euros, compared to the more than 2 million euros paid in 2013.
