Reopening starred restaurants: a barometer from the Michelin Guide

Who has opened and who has not yet decided to do so among the starred restaurants? This is indicated by a barometer developed by the MICHELIN Guide which weekly tracks the situation of starred reopenings in the world in the 32 destinations where the Guide is present.

The tool is designed to provide, in real time, a global overview of the evolution of the reopenings of starred restaurants.

“By creating this barometer, we want to take the pulse of global gastronomy in order to inform and raise awareness of our ecosystem. In the world, only 21% of the 3.000 starred restaurants are currently open. We hope that this information will bring to light a sector that economically radiates far beyond restaurant doors,” comments Gwendal Poullennec, international director of MICHELIN guides.

Seeking to actively support the world of gastronomy during this time of crisis, the MICHELIN Guide reports the results of its barometer on its website: https://guide.michelin.com/en.

As for Italy, it will be available at the link
