The time has come for discos to reopen: from Monday 11 October the dance clubs will be able to return to business, but with a capacity limited to 75% for open-air rooms and 50% for indoors. This was established by a new decree of the Council of Ministers, going beyond the indications of the Scientific Technical Committee, which had advised not to exceed the 35% threshold for the capacity of indoor discos. In this case, the reasons of the managers were heard, who judged the measures suggested by the Cts as uneconomical.
At the same time, however, the government has tightened the penalties for those who violate the rules by exceeding the permitted capacity limits: in fact, the second violation will trigger the suspension of the activity for up to 10 days.
CINEMA, MUSEUMS AND THEATRES
As far as cinemas, museums and theaters are concerned, however, barriers and capacity limits have completely disappeared: again from Monday 11 October, places of culture and entertainment will be able to fill up to 100% of the available seats.
The obligation of a green pass and mask for access remains, while the obligation of social distancing of at least one meter between people is skipped: the rule, inapplicable in cinemas and museums at maximum capacity, will no longer be valid even inside museums .
The requests of the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Dario Franceschini, and of the operators of the sector, who had asked to restart at 100% to drive away the specter of bankruptcy, were thus accepted.
STADIUMS AND SPORTS CENTERS
But the improvement in the epidemiological situation throughout Italy, due to the effectiveness of the vaccination campaign, has also prompted the government to increase the capacity to attend sporting events: stadiums will be able to fill up to 75% of seats, while sports halls will go from 35 to 60%.
THE PERCENTAGES GO UP IN THE YELLOW BAND
All the percentages we have talked about so far are valid only in the white area: in the yellow area, in fact, the limits for theaters and cinemas are set at 50%, while that for indoor sports facilities is 35% and 50% outdoors. . But from tomorrow all of Italy will return to the white zone, because Sicily, the only region so far in the yellow band, will return to the zone considered low risk, as the number of hospitalizations has decreased.
