Shops, hairdressers, bars, restaurants and much more. From Monday 18st May officially begins in Italy the most substantial part of Phase 2, that of the reopenings and the (gradual) return to normalcy. A few days later the relaunch decree, the Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, has launched a new Dpcm in agreement with the Regions (the only one not to sign the agreement was the governor of Campania, Vincenzo De Luca) which introduces many innovations.
First, they will be allowed travel without self-certification and without limitationsas long as you stay within your region. At the moment, to cross regional borders there is still a need to have a good reason: work, health or urgent need.
PHASE 2: WHAT REOPENS ON MAY 18
Also from 18 May there is also a shower of reopenings, starting with that of the retail shops (clothing and more). They also resume the activities of bar, restaurants e pizzerias (only buffets are prohibited), but also those of exercises related to personal care: hairdressers, barbers, massage centers e beauty salons.
Doors open in museums e libraries, while in the churches you can go back to celebrating masses and professional team sports athletes it is allowed to start training again in small groups (but soccer or volleyball matches between friends are still prohibited).
Even the bathing facilities they can reopen their doors, albeit with umbrellas at a distance (at least 10 square meters for each).
For each of these activities specific protocols must be respected: from reservations required (e.g. at the hairdresser) to the rules for the social distancing (for example a meter between the tables and between the diners, unless they are living together), passing through the rules on sanitation of environments and using gloves and masks, always mandatory in closed spaces (even to go to the bathroom or to the cash desk in a restaurant).
PHASE 2, THE NEXT REOPENINGS: 25 MAY, 3 AND 25 JUNE
As for the future, on May 25, gyms, swimming pools and sports centers will reopen (even if in certain regions, such as Liguria and Lazio, some of these structures start working again from 18 May), while it is possible that from the 3 June – same day they could be borders with the European Union reopened - the ban on moving between regions without a valid reason also falls.
movies, theaters and places used for shows and concerts – activities considered to be at the highest risk of contagion – the official reopening date is the 15 June (but with limited and pre-assigned places), same day they will leave summer camps for children and teenagers.
WHAT DOES NOT REOPEN
Finally, no date has been set for the reopening of game rooms, betting rooms, slot machine e bingo. They also remain closed dance halls e discotheques and it is also forbidden to organize house parties with a number of guests that does not allow maintaining the safety distance of at least one meter between people.
