Waste: Hera buys the Venetian Vallortigara

The group Ivy, through its subsidiary Herambiente, acquired 80% of Vallortigara, a company that disposes of waste from industries, public administrations and citizens and manages a multifunctional platform in Torrebelvicino (VI) for the treatment of special waste.

The acquisition of Vallortigara, which has over 100 workers and around 4 customers, will allow Hera to strengthen itself in the Triveneto area, also creating synergies with the industrial poles of the multi-utility in the provinces of Pisa and Ravenna. The Vallortigara family – explains Hera in a note – will remain within the new corporate structure.

Overall, through the company Hasi (Herambiente Servizi Industriali), Herambiente now has 18 multifunctional sites dedicated to the treatment of waste produced by companies and 1,3 million tonnes of industrial waste treated every year.

“This new operation is in line with the important strategic development process that we are implementing in the industrial waste sector - comments Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano, executive chairman of Hera - When fully operational, thanks to the three acquisitions made in 2021, we will deal every year An additional 300 tonnes of industrial waste produced by 3.300 new industrial customers, with an additional contribution to the gross operating margin of the Hera Group of around 20 million euro, in addition to the value of the expected integration synergies".
