Retelit, Board of Directors: the CEO of Sparkle is also on the Mincione list

There is also Alessandro Talotta, president and CEO of Telecom Italia Sparkle, on the list for the Retelit Board of Directors presented by the consortium led by Raffaele Mincione, who in turn appears as a presidential candidate for the group listed on the Star. The London-based Italian financier has coagulated investors in the newco Fiber 4.0 with a potential stake of around 19% to elect the new Board of Directors of the tlc company in the meeting of April 27 and aims to impose a strong discontinuity at the management level.

Fiber 4.0 is opposed by the Libyans of Bousval (historic shareholders of Retelit), the Germans of Axxion and Shareholder Value Management who, in recent days, have announced a syndicate pact on 24,36% and presented a list that renews confidence in the current front line - i.e. the president Dario Pardi and the CEO Federico Protto - with the aim of continuing on the growth path taken by the company

In Mincione's list, in addition to Talotta, there are also the real estate developer Luca Cividini (also a shareholder of Fiber 4.0), Davide Carando, Andrea Costa, Valentina Montanari, Laura Rovizzi, Cristina Cengia and Luca Sintoni. Among them, as a potential CEO candidate, the insiders indicate Talotta, if only for the great experience gained in the telecommunications sector, even if at the moment there is no official indication in this regard and much will depend on the developments of the events of the next weeks.

Talotta began working at Italtel in 1990 and joined the Telecom group in 2001, while he has been chairman and CEO of Sparkle since July 2015 and December 2014, respectively. Both positions in the company that controls the large submarine cables of the Telecom group expire with approval of the 2017 financial statements. Retelit, it should be remembered, also holds a share in the consortium that controls the maxi 25 km fiber optic submarine cable that departs from Marseilles and arrives in Hong Kong (passing through the Bari landing station, owned by Retelit) , which went on sale last year.
