Riva del Garda, Santa Margherita Ligure, Otranto, Palau: these are just some of the over 800 municipalities and 300 tourist locations covered by Vodafone's new generation network throughout the peninsula. Under an umbrella by the sea, in the cool of the mountains or on the streets of the most beautiful cities of art: the Vodafone's 4G network it expands and follows the population even on vacation.

The fourth generation network technology allows download data transfer speeds of up to 326,4 Mb / s and upload up to 86,4Mb/s. Compared to previous technologies, however, for 4G it is necessary to prepare a dedicated radio coverage, thus creating one new additional network to the pre-existing mobile phone.

For this reason, Vodafone is pushing the accelerator even during the summer period, achieving the non-secondary objective of guaranteeing the use of smartphones and tablets in places that are also summer holiday destinations.

To allow all customers to appreciate the potential of 4G, Vodafone has launched the typical summer offer at contained costs and with fixed-term promotions.

The development of fixed and mobile networks is a priority for Vodafone Italia, which with the Spring plan invests 3,6 billion in Italy to bring 4G to 90% of the population by 2016. The 4G network is being extended every month and already today over 60% of the Italian population has the possibility of accessing Vodafone Italia's mobile ultra-broadband.
