Renzi: "We decide on tax cuts, not the EU"

The Premier replies firmly to the document of the European Commission on fiscal policy in the member countries in which Italy is asked to reduce taxes on work and not on the house.

Renzi: "We decide on tax cuts, not the EU"

“We decide which taxes to reduce and not a Eurobureaucrat”. Thus the Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi, replied in New York to journalists who asked him to comment the document of the European Commission on fiscal policy in the member countries in which Italy is asked to reduce taxes on work and not on the house.

“On this issue – added the Premier – Italy decides. I hope that Europe will have the strength to make itself heard on the issues it needs to make itself heard” such as, for example, “immigration”.

"Everyone should do their job", concluded Renzi, recalling several times that the responsibility for making choices in the fiscal field rests with the national governments.
