Renzi, Olympics: "Rays, proof of incapacity"

The premier attacks the mayor of Rome for the No to the Olympics: “The great works don't stop but the thieves are chased away. The fact of saying that the Olympics are not held because of corruption is an incredible admission of incapacity. If you're scared and don't put your face up to it, you've got the wrong job."

Renzi, Olympics: "Rays, proof of incapacity"

“Los Angeles and Paris are two days celebrating because Rome was the favorite for the 2024 Olympics but said no”. Prime Minister Matteo Renzi is embittered by the No of the grillino mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, at the 2024 Games but considers the chapter closed. But he doesn't send them word and attacks Raggi frontally, openly calling her incapable.

“The great works are not stopped, but thieves are being hunted down” thunders Renzi who adds: “The fact of saying that the Olympics are not held for fear of corruption is an incredible admission of incapacity on the part of the Rome leadership. The Olympics aren't tomorrow morning and if you have 8 years ahead of you, if you have a minimum of credibility and authority, you chase thieves away. If, on the other hand, you say No and you are afraid and prefer not to put your face on it, you have the wrong job".

Renzi concludes: “Italy is divided between those who stay at the window and those who stay in the arena and if they see something wrong, they change it. This is the difference between politics and the sports bar”
