Renzi does not give Conte the go-ahead and relaunches: “Are there vetoes on Iv?”

In the conversation with Mattarella, Italia Viva does not set ultimatums but for now does not give the go-ahead to Conte-ter and would prefer an exploratory mandate to assess whether the conditions exist to reconstitute a majority for the assignment to Conte immediately – Today the Five Stars and the right at the Quirinale

Renzi does not give Conte the go-ahead and relaunches: “Are there vetoes on Iv?”

Before pronouncing on the reappointment or not of Giuseppe Conte, who is not released for now, Italia Viva wants to know if the other political forces veto Matteo Renzi and his group, which majority is being talked about and what are the political contents to face the three Italian crises, the health one, the economic one and the school one. This is what Matteo Renzi said to the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in the key meeting of the second day of consultations to resolve a political crisis that remains on the high seas.

Renzi, who received a long phone call from Prime Minister Conte before entering the Quirinale, did not explicitly veto and did not issue ultimatums but asked for answers by reversing the order of factors: first we must decide what to do and with which majority to do it and only at the end will we decide on the premier. And he also told Mattarella that he would prefer to verify whether or not there are the conditions for reforming a government, he would prefer an exploration entrusted to an institutional personality.

The leader of Italia Viva said he was willing to discuss everything without prejudice to the developments of the political crisis, not even excluding an institutional government even if the political one is preferred, but first he demands clarification. Renzi has not failed to stigmatize the rain of insults that Italia Viva has received and the "indecorous hunt" for defectors implemented by Conte to expand a majority that for now, without the Renzians' contribution, does not exist. Conte premier or not will only be discussed at the end. This means that the duration of the crisis will not be short and that those who thought that everything could be resolved with a new job for the outgoing prime minister by Saturday must think again.

After Italia Viva, Mattarella received the Pd delegation who confirmed their willingness to support a Conte-led government again but Zingaretti once again seemed displaced by Renzi's move and did not agree to answer journalists' questions testifying to the climate of tension dominating the political crisis
