Renzi: Italy is growing but I'm not satisfied, it must become a leader

Renzi: Italy is growing but I'm not satisfied, it must become a leader

Reforms are needed and Istat data on unemployment and GDP growth prove it. These are "particularly significant" figures and show that the country is "getting back on track" returning to Europe among the best countries "in the group thanks to the reforms made".
Thus Matteo Renzi comments on the new statistics that overturn the pessimism of mid-August and does so with a video message published on the website of the Prime Minister.

“These are particularly significant figures, it is the idea that the country is getting back on track”, says Renzi. “What is fundamental today is that we all lend a hand together for Italy to return to growth, which unfortunately has not happened in recent years and the group of European countries was much, much stronger. The latest data on growth say something very simple: we are not yet in the pink jersey, but we are back in the group thanks to the reform process. Italy is growing but I'm not satisfied, I want Italy to return to the leadership of Europe as it has been for a long time”, adds the premier.

"September starts with good numbers, the important thing is that the numbers are followed by the ideas, determination, grit, enthusiasm of the Italians who are the greatest resource that our country has", concludes Renzi. To listen to the video message, click here
