Renzi: "The money from the severance pay belongs to the workers, new proposal on Tuesday"

After the "no" by Giorgio Squinzi (Confindustria) to include the severance pay in the paycheck, the premier relaunches and criticizes "the protective philosophy of the mother-state which does not trust the worker-children". A new proposal is on the way that "does not harm small and medium-sized enterprises". It will be presented in the meeting with the social partners.

Renzi: "The money from the severance pay belongs to the workers, new proposal on Tuesday"

The money from the severance pay "is for the workers" and "as happens all over the world, the State cannot decide for them". Matteo Renzi replies to Confindustria and to its president Giorgio Squinzi that he had rejected the proposal to release the liquidation and include the provision in the salary. The prime minister criticizes "the protective philosophy of the mother-state which does not trust the worker-children" because "it burns them all together". Indeed he hopes “that from next year the money will be in the paycheck. This would translate into a doubling of the 80 euro operation”.

At the same time Renzi announced new arrivals: "On Tuesday - he added - when we meet with the trade unions and social partners, we will verify a proposal that does not harm small and medium-sized enterprises". The SMEs themselves, protested Giorgio Squinzi, would have been the most damaged by the announced reform of the severance pay.
