After the electoral failure in Venice, Arezzo and Sicily, the premier and secretary of the Pd, Matteo Renzi he goes on the attack in the party and in the Government: "These elections say that with Renzi 2 you can't win, I have to return to Renzi 1: no more mediations and no more primaries in the Democratic Party".
Renzi he promises to deal more with the Democratic Party and explains: “I didn't choose the candidates for the elections: I didn't say anything about Casson, Paita, De Luca, Emiliano. It takes more personality, because if copies run instead of the originals, then it doesn't work". Then a general consideration towards the dem left: "This is a moderate country, whoever occupies the center wins". Renzi mentions the case of Liguria but he could also refer to Venice: "In Liguria, Paita did not lose because Civati's candidate took away some votes, which probably would not have gone to her anyway, but she lost because in the last week the 5% of the center voters have moved towards Toti”.
According to the secretary, the Democratic Party must renew itself profoundly and look more like Obama and less like Mastella or Pajetta.
