Renzi: "Hotelier bonus for those who invest"

From the Stability Law to the Roman chaos of the 5 Star Movement, including the Olympics, passing through the earthquake and the Casa Italia project. It is an all-out Matteo Renzi who intervenes from Bari on the occasion of theinauguration of the 80th edition of the Fiera del Levante, deserted last year but this year even more important given that the prime minister took the opportunity to announce the Pact for Puglia, signed with the president of the Region Michele Emiliano.

The agreement with the government assigns the Italian "heel" 2 billion and 71 million euros to which must be added 1,3 billion released in August by the Cipe. After which Renzi anticipates a novelty of the next budget law: the “hotelier bonus”, or a bonus mechanism that will be provided by the government in favor of those who invest: “We will tell those who have a hotel, perhaps even a restaurant, but let's see the coverage, that they will be entitled to a sort of super discount, call it a bonus or whatever you want. We will be able to give a tax discount to those who intervene by spending on the company”. The competition, explains Renzi, "is global and we must have adequate reception structures".

Renzi also intervened on the project Home Italy: “I asked everyone for a hand. There are a hundred topics on which politicians can argue, but the credibility of politics depends on the management of the common home. Let's try to play this game clean. There is a way and a way to discuss. On this issue, we have asked all the political forces not only to check that all the money for reconstruction is transparent, but we have asked them to help us imagine what Casa Italia will be like". For the Prime Minister "the resources are there, if we need more we will put them in, but let's make an effort so that prevention is not just a cliché".

Starting from reconstruction and prevention in earthquake-prone areas, Renzi the premier from the Bari audience broadened the discussion to large public works: "Two years ago we talked about the Expo and there were those who said it would be crap, a manger , because there had been scandals and us we had intervened by creating the anti-corruption authority. But it is very easy to talk, talk, argue, then there are those who have the responsibility of doing things and if there is a scandal it is not enough to go shouting on talk shows but the conditions must be created: public works should not be blocked, yes stop thieves and send them to prison, do not say no to public works".

Finally, a jab at the 5 Star Movement, overwhelmed by the Rome case and falling in the polls, precisely to the advantage of the Democratic Party: a very important overtaking at a key moment like this, close to the constitutional referendum. The Olympics cannot be used “as a tool to make peace within a feuding movement that should be called a party”. In the premier's opinion, “you can have all the opinions you want about the Olympics and we respect them, yes saying no to the Olympics which means no to jobs, no to the redevelopment of the suburbs, no to the opportunity for a country's identity. The Olympics cannot be used to make peace within single political movements”, insists President Renzi. “Say yes or no, and explain it. And let it be known that the money that comes from the Olympics either arrives in Rome or goes to Paris, it doesn't go for other things. Money for the Olympics either helps our cities grow or it will help other cities in global competition."
