Still a not very peaceful welcome for Matteo Renzi in Naples. The Bagnoli case is still a bone of contention, with the mayor Luigi De Magistris firmly opposing the project wanted by the Government, involving part of the citizens in the protest, which once again resulted in violent clashes with the police.

The incidents broke out in Galleria Umberto and via Chiaia between the forces of order and some demonstrators, neighborhood committees and social centers opposed to the commissioner of the former western area, who arrived near the Teatro San Carlo, where a special evening dedicated to to tenor Jonas Kaufmann. Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, visiting Campania and guest of the evening, gives his willingness to meet the mayor of Naples Luigi de Magistris.

Shortly after the announcement, however, the freeze: "I am pleased with President Renzi's availability for a meeting tonight before Kaufmann's event at the San Carlo - said De Magistris -, but I cannot accept, given the presence at the table in delegation of the Commissioner on Bagnoli. We do not understand the reasons why an institutional meeting requested several times must necessarily take place, a few minutes after the concert, in the indispensable presence of Commissioner su Bagnoli ". At the meeting, after months of rupture and coldness between the two on the reclamation of Bagnoli, an institutional delegation also had to participate, made up of the undersecretary Claudio De Vincenti, the commissioner of Bagnoli Salvo Nastasi and the prefect.
