The non-European sales of the Renault group grew by 4,3% in the first half of 2013, however not sufficient to compensate for the plunge of the intra-European ones, down by as much as 7,3%.
Globally, the French automaker sold 1,3 million cars in the same period, half of them outside Europe.
The result of Renault, which can be summarized in a drop in overall sales of 1,9% in the first half of 2013, shows an improving trend internally, given the increase in sales of 0,7% in the second quarter of this year .
Disaggregating at brand level, sales of the Renault brand decreased by 4,6%, those of the Dacia brand grew by 16,5% and those of Renault Samsung Motors by 12,4%.
