With 328 votes in favour, 231 against and two abstentions, Wednesday evening the Chamber of Deputies gave the green light to the trust placed by the government on the relaunch decree. In the early afternoon of today, Thursday 9 July, the Montecitorio Assembly definitively voted on the text, approving it with 278 votes in favour, 187 against, one abstention out of a total of 466 present. The measure it now passes to the Senate, where there will be no room for further changes, given that, to avoid forfeiture, there is time only until 18 July. The text is expected for July 14 at Palazzo Madama.

The relaunch decree introduces measures for 55 billion euros, whose purpose is to limit the economic impact of the pandemic on businesses, VAT numbers, employees, families and the third sector.

In particular, among the original interventions, the most important are four:

Below are the main innovations included in the text during the examination by the Chamber:

  • the extension to 110% eco-bonus second homes;
  • the enlargement of scrapping bonus cars to Euro 6 petrol and diesel vehicles;
  • the launch of new incentives for electric cars;
  • the increase in funds allocated to peer schools;
  • the postponement of one month of the parental leave;
  • the advance of Cig scheduled for the autumn;
  • the enhancement of bike bonus with another 20 million euros;
  • the extension until 31 December 2020 of the smart working for 50% of civil servants who carry out activities that can be performed remotely (from 2021 the percentage will rise to at least 60%);
  • vouchers for canceled trips due to Covid-19 they will be valid for 18 months, after which, in the event of non-use for new bookings, you will be entitled to a real refund;
  • Compensation also coming for missed concert tickets, but only in case of failure to reschedule the event within a year and a half of the cancellation.
