Relais & Chateaux Saint James Paris, the home of a collector returns to shine

A new “Relais & Chateaux Saint James Paris” Hotel-Club relives the passion for art of a collector who already lived in this building and who loved to surround himself with books and works of art.

Relais & Chateaux Saint James Paris, the home of a collector returns to shine

Located in the heart of the 16th arrondissement, Saint James Paris is known for its unique style and for its pioneering concept of Hotel-Club. The five-star Château hotel has now been completely reinvented by interior designer Laura Gonzalez. With its reopening at the end of May 2021, the Saint James Paris will start a new story, through now 50 rooms and suites, a new restaurant concept, the iconic library-bar, a spa and new wellness areas as well as the completely redesigned and vast gardens. The style is inspired by prestigious building, designed in 1892 and highlights its neoclassical beauty and its numerous references to Greek antiquity and Art Deco.

A re-proposing of history through the diversity and richness of fabrics and colors in the hotel's 48 rooms. Decorated around a four-color palette of cream to celadon green, the bedrooms and bathrooms evoke the apartments of a collector who allegedly lived here, surrounded by his books and works of art. Even the garden was entirely rethought and redesigned by the landscape architect Xavier de Chirac, creating a pergola, in the pure romantic spirit of the XNUMXth century.
This new indoor-outdoor space, facing the facade of the building, houses a historic English bar and a gourmet restaurant "Bellefeuille", located under a pergola in the garden. Redesigned in the style of a winter garden offering a magnificent view of the walled gardens, it will be directed by chef Julien Dumas. The menu will reflect a natural and free cuisine, using sustainable methods.
