Lazio Region, Council of State suspends Tar decision on immediate vote

The Council of State agrees with the outgoing governor Renata Polverini. The second level organ of administrative justice upheld the appeal presented by the Lazio Region, suspending the sentence of the Tar which required elections to be called for the new Regional Council by the end of the year. The Administrative Court also obliged to start electoral rallies within five days of the sentence (arrived last November 12).

With a decree from President Stefano Baccarini, the Council of State has also established that the Council Chamber for the discussion of the case will be held on 27 November. The decision was taken immediately due to the "extreme gravity and urgency" of the matter, "such as not even to allow the delay until the date of the council chamber".
