Region denounces looters on tourism, but no problem on the Romagna coast

The jackals try to steal tourists from the Romagna Riviera, taking advantage of the earthquake. The Emilia-Romagna tourism councilor Maurizio Melucci reported it today to TgCom24. “Already with the tremors of 20 and 29 – says the councilor – there had been signs in this sense, strange phone calls aimed at creating disinformation, asking for example if the airports were open or the motorways passable. Today we fear the repetition of behaviors like these, competitors who, like jackals, try to take advantage of this situation, to add insult to injury. Instead, everything works normally, in the tourist areas there are no problems or dangers, from Cattolica to Comacchio, from Parma to Riccione”.

Un tourism alarm it was taken this morning, after the 6 o'clock earthquake, off the coast of Ravenna. The biggest concern comes from Federalberghi, which sees a season at risk and the resumption of cancellations, stemmed with a massive public communication intervention in recent weeks. For now, Rivera's switchboards are ringing, especially in search of information and news, but life seems to go on peacefully. The Cervia golf club, for example, hasn't changed its programmes, today it is selling a normal number of tickets (green fees) and will be holding the scheduled matches on Saturday and Sunday.

Il mayor of Cervia Roberto Zoffoli on the other hand, he confirms the tranquility of the situation: “There was no damage. The municipal offices, the IAT and the Municipal Police switchboard received numerous phone calls from tourists, but no reports of damage to property or problems for people. Cervia has been classified as a seismic zone since the early XNUMXs, which means that the buildings are built or renovated according to anti-seismic regulations. Our technicians have carried out inspections in school buildings and public buildings where no structural problems have been found".
