A new organization for sustainable development and a regenerative economy. First public appointment in October in Parma.
Culture, investments and a multilateral dialogue. A group of entrepreneurs and some individuals come together in "Regeneration 20 | 30", a new organization for sustainable development. David Bollati, Maria Paola Chiesi , Andrew Illy, Oscar de Montigny ,they are the first managers to leave with support from the Foundation for Sustainable Development, the Center for Bhutan Studies, the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences and the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions, chaired by environmental economist Jeffrey D. Sachs. The official debut with best practices and ideas to take the right path, in Parma, Italian Capital of Culture 2020-21, on 15 and 16 October next.
They are the first "enlightened" to want to give legs to a broad project to change the extractive economic and social paradigm in favor of a new paradigm, capable of regenerating people, the economy and the environment. The starting point - they told the aise agency - is a document of commitment with three fundamental pillars: Regenerative Economy, Fight against Climate Change, Global Happiness. Themes already developed by other organizations with which the entrepreneurs will collaborate. There is room for research, culture, for a non-repetitive representation of tomorrow, with innovative schemes and paths.
What is interesting to understand is whether the envisaged path will gather adhesions such as to make it another strong point of the Italian green mobilization. The good intentions of to build an action plan and a toolkit that allows adherents to implement progress in the three areas there are. They will certainly need support and energy if, as they have anticipated and we well know, the time to turn around is short. Of course, the national picture is not exciting. We are suffering from a long series of operational delays, a certain inconclusive environmental narrative in the words of improvised guardians of public affairs, thinking centers of the country left out. We are reminded of the original ideas of Adriano Olivetti in the post-war reconstruction and the tenacity, surrounded by thoughtful people, to achieve them.
Entrepreneurs of "Regeneration 20|30" have sensitivity to sustainability issues on their side . From now until October and beyond they must be able to involve intellectuals, artists, researchers for an authentic change of pace in the face of the tired tale of politics. What is different about this compared to when they have to relaunch their companies and resort to specialists? We have no more than 10 years to reverse course in terms of the climate emergency – today the mother of all causes – they say. They want to commit themselves to a new regenerative model centered on happiness, individual and collective well-being, social equality. To do this, culture and knowledge remain the best fuel.
