Citizenship income, here is the website and card: all the news

Citizenship income takes its first steps. The Premier, Giuseppe Conte, and the Deputy Prime Minister, Luigi Di Maio, presented the portal dedicated to beneficiaries and the cards created by Poste Italiane to manage the disbursements of the subsidy.

CITIZENSHIP INCOME: SITE ONLINE

The site, for the moment, will be purely informative and will illustrate rules and requirements necessary to obtain the basic income. The operational part will start instead from 6 March. From that date, potential beneficiaries will in fact be able to send the appropriate applications. The information provided will then be checked by INPS, which after the necessary checks will send the applicants an email or text message to certify acceptance or refusal. In the event of a green light, in addition to the procedure for receiving the basic income, INPS will also notify Poste Italiane which will summon the "holder" of the benefit for the delivery of the so-called Rdc Card.

CITIZENSHIP INCOME: WATCH OUT FOR FAKES

Be careful to go to the right portal (which is this). For days, in fact, many fake sites on basic income have been flocking to the web. To date, the first result provided by Google when searching for "citizenship income site" is a fake - created for recreational purposes, it is specified below - which provides incorrect information, asks to send questions and even contains the IMPS brand – World Institute of Social Providence.

CITIZENSHIP INCOME: THE CARD

Together with the site, Luigi Di Maio today also presented the "Rdc card", a normal yellow Poste Italiane card, very similar to a Poste Pay, to be clear, which will contain numbers in relief and the Poste Italiane logo. This card will be credited from the month following the submission of the application. Those who send the request in March will therefore receive the accreditation at the end of April, according to the established procedure, the sum to which you are entitled based on your income.

As mentioned, the Card will be distributed by the Italian post office directly to the holder, upon presentation of a document. It will therefore not be sent by post, as previously assumed.

The money can be used to make expenses related to consumer goods e pay utilities. Only 100 euros per single person can be withdrawn in cash each month (the maximum amount rises to 210 euros for large families). Each withdrawal will be subject to a (small) fee.

Only one transfer per month can be made for the payment of the rent (280 euros) or for the mortgage installment (150 euros).

You can check the expenses made via smartphone or PC app. If the beneficiaries do not spend the entire sum received in the month following the following month, a reduction of up to 20% is triggered (after six months the entire card is emptied, leaving a maximum of only one month's income. For 2019 there will be only one card for the whole family, from 2020 each adult member of the household will receive one and the sum will be divided proportionally on each card.
