The 250 Ferrari 1960 GT California is the car chosen as the winner of the REB Competitions 2021 by the jury presided over by Gianni Letta. The cars were exhibited for 3 days at the Circolo di Golf Rome Acquasanta on the Via Appia, the oldest Golf Club in Italy.

At the contest - "Rome Eternal Beauties – The Reb Concours” – cars produced from the beginning of the twentieth century until the 70s participated. In the competition, both for the general competition and for the "category" one, there were many historic cars Italian, French, English, American and German (a total of 37 models in the competition). Out of competition as many as 14 jewels of the caliber of della Lagonda LG45DHC of 1937 or of Cadillac series 355 B imperial sedan from 1932 protagonist of the film "The Last Emperor" by Bernardo Bertolucci, winner of 9 Academy Awards. From the Museum Alfa Romeo of Arese, for the occasion, even the 8C 2900 B Le Mans Special of 1938 with which Clemente Biondetti competed in the 24 Hours of Le Man. As a further backdrop to the event, 11 Moto Guzzi which represent the history of the Mandello del Lario brand, which – just this year – turned 100 years old.

The jury, in addition to the President Gianni Letta, was composed of the entrepreneur Nicola Bulgari, the deputy director of TG5 Cesara Buonamici, then Tomaso Trussardi, Tommaso Miele, Michele Placido, Antonio Di Bella, Veronica Pivetti, Luca Bernabei, Marco Bentivogli, Gelasio Gaetani d'Aragona, Mariella Mengozzi and Andrea Lo Cicero. For the "Spider" category, the former Minister of Finance Giovanni Tria he then had a say by rewarding the Lancia Aurelia B24 S also by virtue of its splendid midnight blue livery.

It must be said that the obsessive precision of the restoration or the rarity of a model was not evaluated at the Reb concours, but each member of the jury decided on the basis of personal emotion. As in the last edition, guest judges and competitors were welcomed by the Fanfare of the State Police.

The REB Concours has given its support to the “Circle of Saint Peter“, the voluntary institution born in the capital in 1869 which depends on the Holy See, collecting funds for the needy. In 2020, at the end of the event, donations allowed the purchase of over 3000 meal vouchers.
