There will be over a hundred i producers from all over Italy, France, Slovenia, Spain, Austria and, for the first time, Switzerland who will bring their latest products for tasting in Cerea, the result of work that respects natural cycles, genuine expressions and identity of the territories of origin. From the 31 March to the 2 April the Exp Area of ​​Cerea, a few kilometers from Verona, will in fact once again come alive with wines, winegrowers, stories and territories with the XVIII edition of ViniVeri, Wines according to nature. Eighteen editions which, since the first in 2004, have marked a paradigm shift, one new idea of ​​wine and agriculture. “Greater strength, greater awareness, greater maturity. Almost twenty years after the first edition we have demonstrated that another way to produce pleasant and enjoyable wine while protecting the ecosystem and the natural balance of the vineyard is possible. Never forgetting, as we were the first to denounce last year with the manifesto "Form and substance, lights and shadows" that attention to the overall quality of the wine and the skills of those who make it is essential. We have broadened the perspectives and the possibilities of choice, making recognizable a viticulture that respects the natural cycles, the integrity of the territories, the environment and its resources. A recognition from the twenty-year history that we decided to protect by registering the image and the name ViniVeri in Italy a few days ago” declared the president of the ViniVeri Consortium Paolo Vodopiv. For three days, the Cerea Exp Area will become the fulcrum of tastings, meetings, insights, film screenings, gastronomic events. A rich program with an interdisciplinary and multisensory offer which not only intends to introduce wines and producers but also wants to involve and make enthusiasts, wine lovers and sector operators interact with the multifaceted aspects of the world of wine according to nature. For this reason, the expansion of the exhibition spaces to about 4000 square meters successfully tested last year is confirmed also for this edition: in addition to the traditional area of ​​the former factory, the tasting tables of the producers will also find a place in the adjacent paraboloid pavilion as follows to ensure greater accessibility and optimal use of the various scheduled events.

The novelty of the XVIII edition is the presence, together with new winemakers who have joined and signed the Rule of the ViniVeri Consortium and are participating for the first time, of two winemakers from beyond the Alps, appreciated and respected all over the world by natural wine enthusiasts, and not only : the iconic producer of Champagne Vouette&Sorbée, Bertrand Gautherot and the Japanese Kenjiro Kagami who in a few years, thanks to the 3-hectare vineyard purchased in 2011 in Grusse, has made the wines of his "Domaine des Miroirs" one of the reference points of the Jura. Not only tasting tables and interactions with the producers present: also for this edition of ViniVeri the three days of the event will be enlivened by important initiatives, exclusive meetings and the after-show with gastronomic events where creative cuisine with wine according to nature will be declined: on the programme, next to the exhibition area open to all, a in-depth meeting dedicated to new rules for wine labelling which will enter into force on 8 December 2023; the screening, a preview for Italy, of the documentary dedicated to the Champagne winemaker BertrandGautherot; the tasting led by Stefano Berzi, Italy's best sommelier 2021 and, finally, two dinners with chefs awarded by the best guides. The program includes a meeting-debate with the director of CREA (Council for Agricultural Research and Agricultural Economic Analysis), Stefano Vaccari, on Friday 31 March, at 18 pm, in the conference room of the Exp Area, in which novelties, critical and prospects in view of the entry into force, from 8 December, of EU Regulation 2021/2117 of the new rules for wine labeling, with the obligation to indicate the list of ingredients and the nutritional declaration of wines on the label. On Saturday 1 April, at 15 pm, Stefano Berzi will lead the tasting "Natural wine and territorial identity" which, together with the winemakers of the ViniVeri Consortium, will explore the relationship between artisanal production, according to nature and the territory of origin.

Also on Saturday April, at 18 pm, screening of the documentary film by Élie Séonnet "Le Champagne a rendezvous avec la Lune" dedicated to the Champagne winemaker Bertrand Gautherot. Director Elie Séonnet followed Côte-des-Bar winegrower Bertrand Gautherot and his daughter for a year, who will take over the family business: the Vouette et Sorbee champagne cellar.Bertrand Gautherot is a pioneer of biodynamics in Champagne and this testimony is an unmissable opportunity to learn how to produce a champagne that respects the nature and soul of its terroir. In the first two days, at the end of the event, the ViniVeri internal restaurant will have the honor of hosting dinners signed by two chefs who will bring their experiences and their gastronomic world by combining it with the wines of the Consortium's winemakers. On Friday 31 March, the cuisine of the talented takes center stage chef of Russian origin Nikita Sergeev of the "L'Arcade" restaurant in Porto San Giorgio (FM). Formed in Alma, the International School of Italian Cuisine, a member of the JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs association, also in 2023 confirmed for its restaurant on the shores of the Adriatic the Michelin star conquered for the first time last year. Saturday 1 April will be the turn of the eclectic Chef Fabio Groppi. Chef of Ligurian origins, raised in Piedmont and then in Verona, now his home. In his professional career he has explored the whole of Italy, from Alta Badia to Sardinia, passing through Trentino, where he received the prestigious Michelin star. Alongside his haute cuisine experience, Fabio Groppi has been working as a consultant for restaurants for many years. Thanks to his expertise, he now holds the role of Manager and Executive Chef of one of the most important hospitality and open-air catering groups in Italy. Furthermore, with its own brand "FG Fabio Groppi - Tailor Made Food" it takes care of important events. At ViniVeri he will bring his dishes that tell the flavors and aromas of the different territories that have hosted him during his career. Like every year, together with the wine counters, there will be spaces for tasting and selling artisan food products such as cheese, oil, eco-sustainable chocolate, honey and derivatives, cured meats. Also confirmed is the return, appreciated and highly anticipated by enthusiasts and wine lovers, in a special corner of the Exp Area, of the Enoteca ViniVeri: the showcase-shop where it will be possible to buy many of the selected labels of the many winemakers present at ViniVeri at cellar prices . Also for this edition, this price will be increased by €1 for each bottle purchased: a contribution that the Consortium will donate to an association that assists children in difficulty.
