RCS sells Dada to Orascom

Upon closing of the transaction, the acquiring company will launch a public purchase offer on the entire share capital of Dada – The financial benefit for Rcs, including the 100% deconsolidation of Dada's net financial position, is estimated at around 58 million.

Not just battles between shareholders. Rcs signed the contract for sell 54,6% of Dada to Orascom TMT Investments, founded by Egyptian entrepreneur Naguib Sawiris. The operation will take place through the subsidiary Libero Acquisition and the closing is expected in the first ten days of August.

The enterprise value recognized by Orascom TMT Investments for all of Dada is equal to 83 million and corresponds to an equity value estimated at around 55 million. Upon closing of the transaction, the acquiring company will launch a public purchase offer on the entire share capital of Dada. 

The financial benefit for Rcs, including the 100% deconsolidation of Dada's net financial position, is estimated at approx 58 million, but it is a value subject to possible adjustments deriving from the checks of the consolidated net financial position as at 30 June 2013.

At the opening in Piazza Affari, the Rcs share dropped by 1,9%.
