Last rounds of consultations among the members of the RCS Mediagroup syndicate pact to find a common availability on Monday 27 May as the most probable day for the meeting that will anticipate the shareholders' meeting on 30 May. In fact, on 30 May the much-discussed capital increase of 400 million euros will have to be launched.
According to the Radiocor news agency, Francesco Merloni has accepted – as the most senior shareholder – to carry out the vicarious functions at the head of the Pact after the resignation of Giampiero Pesenti who remains in any case on the board. Should Merloni, for whatever reason, change his mind, the function would pass to the banker Giovanni Bazoli.
The need to bring together the syndicate pact of the publishing group arises from the many innovations that have emerged in recent days, including the request by the top management of RCS for a "discount" to the pool of creditor banks on certain conditions and terms of the debt refinancing.
