RCS, Cairo: "I won't change the price of the offer"

The owner of Cairo Communication is ironic about the statements made by RCS management: "They say they are improving: they are improving so much that they gave the quarterly report with 22 million losses in the last line".

RCS, Cairo: "I won't change the price of the offer"

"The price of the offer for RCS was established after weeks of discussions and we believe it is absolutely reasonable". This was stated by Urbano Cairo, reiterating that the price of the Ops on RCS cannot be modified, despite market pressures and the opinion of some RCS shareholders.

The owner of Cairo Communication points out that "the condition on 50% plus one share of RCS's capital remains, but since it can be modified, Consob has asked for a limit below which we would certainly waive and this limit is 35% plus one share".

“Now I read that there is a lot of interest in RCS – he added -, no one considered it before, now everyone is interested because I said that we can do well for that group. I know how to do it well, I'm a publisher, whoever managed the RCS group didn't do my job. They say they are improving: they are improving so much that they gave the quarterly report with 22 million losses in the last line”.

Making fun of the statements made by the management of RCS, Cairo underlined that around 450 million entered the coffers of the group that controls Corriere della Sera with some sales and the capital increase, then they sold other important assets including RCS Libri and I Mobili di Pregio "should have a debt of 50 million euros, instead with the sale of Libri they will have a debt of 411 million" and therefore they should have burned - continues the publisher - something like 360 million euros and "instead they still have 22 million losses”.
