Motor liability, a new bill from the Government

“We still regret – said Simona Vicari, Undersecretary for Economic Development, after the suppression of the text of article 8 of Destinazione Italia yesterday in the House Commissions – for the opportunity lost with the suppression of article 8, which would have immediately allowed citizens to benefit from cost reductions”.

Motor liability, a new bill from the Government

The TPL reform wanted by the Government will eventually take place, despite the rejection of article 8 of Destinazione Italia yesterday by the commissions of the Chamber. “The Council of Ministers today approved a bill which incorporates the text of article 8 of the Destinazione Italia, suppressed yesterday by the Finance and Productive Activities Commissions of the Chamber, which included the provisions for the reform of the Motor TPL, as well as prepared by Palazzo Chigi". This is what was declared in a note from Simona Vicari, Undersecretary for Economic Development.

“The regret remains – he adds – for the opportunity lost with the suppression of Article 8, which would have immediately allowed citizens to benefit from a reduction in tariff costs. On the other hand, I can only be satisfied with the decision of the Council of Ministers which, on the one hand, confirms the positive work carried out in recent months, and on the other strongly and decisively re-proposes the need for an intervention that reduces costs of insurance rates. The hope – concludes Vicari – is that we will now work quickly in this direction, giving a clear signal to the citizens”.
